MT MAUNGANUI KITCHEN & BATHROOM
This house is beachfront at Mount Maunganui and involved an extensive renovation to an existing house. I was involved with the kitchen and bathrooms for this project and this included preparation of detailed drawings, for pricing and construction.
The kitchen has a well-thought-out layout that blends style and function. The windows are positioned to take in the stunning beach view when you are working in the kitchen.
The matte dark cabinets in the kitchen and walk in pantry provide plenty of storage. A central moveable island has a timber top and natural steel frame with two shelves.
The durable dark Dekton countertops are heat and scratch proof making them very resilient. The pantry has a soft touch dark laminate benchtop with a dark magnetic splashback, that can double as a noticeboard.
The classic dark subway tile backsplash adds texture and contrast to the other stream lined finishes.
Overall, the kitchen design combines modern elements with practical touches, creating a welcoming space for cooking and gathering.
The bathroom carries on a similar colour theme with the dark feature tiles behind the bath and dark shower base. The back to wall bath is a great way of economising on space and is centred on window and recessed niche which has a LED lighting strip. Feature lighting at the end of the bath creates a soft ambience when the other lights are off.
